RCS is pleased to be an approved Early Intervention Specialty Service Provider through the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. Our team of highly trained staff are overseen by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to provide the most comprehensive and individualized services for children ages birth to 3. Our BCBAs are a part of our Clinical Team which includes both Masters and PhD level clinicians.
RCS’ provides a unique and highly individualized therapy model which utilizes Applied Behavior Analysis and Verbal Behavior (ABA/ VB). ABA is research-based and scientifically proven to be the most effective approach to teaching children with Autism. By including Verbal Behavior as part of our model we move ABA beyond the repetitive and rote style of typical discrete trial training (DTT) into a more naturalistic, interactive, and highly language based program with exceptional results. Within the context of play and naturally occurring routines, Therapists make sessions fun and engaging, working with children across all areas of development including communication and language, behavior, play and social skills, self help skills, safety skills, and independence. Skill assessments and interviews with parents are an initial focus, in order to determine the most appropriate skills to target. Data are collected each session and analyzed to track progress and ensure the continuation of only the most effective strategies. Therapists are experienced working closely with parents to help them implement strategies and work within a variety of settings including the home, community, and play groups. Ongoing parent support and coaching is an integral part of every child’s program. RCS also works in close collaboration with EI centers and other service providers to ensure continuity of effective strategies across all environments.
We provide services throughout the state of Massachusetts, not limited to but including: North Shore, South Shore, MetroWest, and Merrimack Valley.
